Capt. Gerald Robert Toebosch passed away November 17, 2015 in Chilliwack BC at the age of 87 years. He is survived by Violet, his loving wife of 68 years; daughter, Rebecca (Chris) Meyer; sons, Donald (Cheryle), Barry (Vickie) and Gary (Connie); granddaughters, Janet (Oliver), Jennifer (Jeff), Tammy and Brianna (Timothy); grandsons, Brad, Scott (Taryn), Austin and Drew; great- grandchildren, Cameron, Mikayla, Waylon, Cassandra and Beatrix along with many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Gerrard and Elsie; sister, Alice Lynes and brother- in-law, Stuart; brother, Larry and sister-in-law, Helen. Gerry went to sea at a young age, serving in the Merchant Marines, and eventually as a Tugboat Captain at C.H. Cates and Sons for over 40 years. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, November 22, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Henderson’s Funeral Home, 45901 Victoria Ave. Chilliwack. Reception will follow.
